Over the past few months we’ve been investing in some new equipment to compliment some existing stock. With peak wedding season around the corner, residencies in Belfast, Cookstown and London our existing offering was getting a little thin on the ground.
We kicked it off by purchasing an additional set of Alto TS410 speakers aimed at portability and ease of use for our Speedquizzing. They feature Bluetooth as well as 2 XLR inputs so we can run a quiz from pretty much one speaker or two for larger venues. They pack a fair punch and they’ve also came in handy for small – medium sized DJ gigs.
Again to complement the speakers we invested in some new effect lighting. Our existing and primary lighting setup contain two lighting bars with 4 spots each where we attach a single lighting effect unit to each side. It’s still our top choice, but the new Chauvet Gigbar 2 is an all in one option that is quick and easy to set up and pack up and works well anywhere smaller where we’d be using the new Alto speakers.
We feel this speaker and lighting combo is perfect for a corporate or charity event where you may want some teambuilding games like the quizzes or music bingo followed by a bit of a disco afterwards.
Our secondary DJ booth was starting to show signs of wear so we purchased not one, but two Equinox Combi Booths. One as a direct replacement for our old smaller booth and one to run with the main wedding kit where space might be limited. It comes with white and black scrim cloth and we run them with the black, as we think it looks smart, matches the speakers and isn’t as easily dirtied.
Lastly we purchased another wireless microphone taking out total to five wireless microphones and 10 wired. Our existing wireless offering has served us well for over 10 years but with the karaoke proving so popular we thought another wireless would do no harm. Sennheiser is a market leading brand that we wouldn’t part from when it comes to wireless microphones.
With all this in mind we have been able to now run up to three DJ nights at one time. We have a team of DJ’s that have been trained to the highest standard on some of the best equipment money can buy on one of the busiest mobile DJ brands in Northern Ireland and the UK. We take pride on delivering the best gigs, with the best people with a setup that is dependable and professional.
