Well it was great too be back! For a second year in a row we found ourselves at the Northern Ireland Wedding Awards. The awards happen annually at Belfast’s Europa Hotel and it’s a great night for wedding suppliers from across the industry to renew acquaintances and put faces to so many names that usually pass like ships in the night.
We were finalists in the Wedding DJ of the Year category and were up against some still competition but there can only be one winner, and on this occasion it was DJ Magiggs (Paul McArdle) who walked away with the coveted trophy.
Always a bittersweet feeling, but the right man has indeed won it as he puts in a lot of effort in all that he does as well as taking on the organising of the late DJ Paul Mckenna’s event diary and making sure that there wasn’t a disappointed bride in the country. He’s a humble man with a big heart! So again…congrats, very well deserved!
The DJ fraternity in northern Ireland is very much close knit and it really does have a family feel to. We like to see each other doing well, we help each other when we can, and nights like this bring us together.
Elsewhere on the night there was a massive pile of great finalists and winners and a huge thanks to Oceanic Events of putting on the awards that recgonises so many great people in our industry.
